Azstar Communications first began business in the Phoenix area in 1988. The founder, John Heath, started his telephone career back in the early 50's with Western Electric installing Bell System central office equipment. Some years later, he transferred to AT&T where he held a variety of jobs including District Operations Manager, National Account Manager, District Marketing Manager and Division Telemarketing Manager. John took an early retirement in 1988 at which time he formed Azstar. His sons, Stan and Brad have been exposed to "telephone jargon" all their lives and now are both active in the business.     Azstar Communications is a relatively small, but fast growing business. They attribute their success to two things-sincere interest in customers and their needs and the willingness to spend the time to discover and provide solutions to these needs and secondly to being small enough to react quickly to virtually any situation, whether it is a customer problem or the need to learn some new discipline.
